My Mother, My Mom
My Mother carried me for nine months. My Mom yearned for a child for years.
My Mother gave birth to me.
My Mom prepared a room for me.
My Mother cried when she said goodbye to me.
My Mom cried when she said welcome home to me.
My Mother missed my growing up years.
My Mom wished she had missed my teenage years.
My Mother dreamt of me often.
My Mom gave me dreams to live by.
My Mother wanted me to be loved.
My Mom loved me all the time.
My Mother wanted to raise me.
My Mom raised me well.
My Mother wanted happiness for me.
My Mom made sure I was happy.
My Mother gave me life.
My Mom protected my life.
I love my Mother.
I love my Mom.
I love them both for their part in whom I have become.
They are both sacred people in my heart.
