The funding which is available may also be used for allowance if the child has extra left over. We use the allowance as a reward for behavior that is appropriate. I like to keep the amount under 5$ a week, if the child needs more then that they can earn it by doing chores or jobs. Depending on the age determines the type of chore or job. If the child is old enough they can do work outside the home for people in your area. This is a great way to build confidence and self esteem.
