*Wear a sunscreen with an SPF of 15 or higher

*Stay out of the sun from 10 am to 3 pm-when the sun's rays are the strongest.

*Wear a sunscreen on cloudy as well as sunny days.

*Cover up with a hat or long sleeves when you can.

*Everyone should wear sunscreen regardless of his or her skin tone.

Also, remember that the sun's effects on your skin tend to show more later in the day. So, even if you think you're not getting burned, it may show up long after you're inside.
