You may want to consider these questions, as you search for an adoptive couple for your child's placement.

Do you want a couple that is child-less?

Do want a family with a child/children? If so, how many children?

Do you have a preference as to their church denomination/affiliation?

Would you like for them to live in the city or the country?

How do you feel about pets?

What about the state they live in--the region of the US they live in--does this matter?

Does it matter what the adoptive Dad does for a living?

Does it matter to you if the adoptive Mom works? Works from home?

What are some of your hobbies/interests? (God can direct you to a Christian couple with similar interests!)

What racial combination (adoptive couple) are you looking for?

Do you have medical insurance or coverage, or is this an expense a couple will need to pay?

What kind of relationship do you want with this family after placement?

We suggest that you read many of the profiles listed in our Christian Adoption family, then narrow your selection by praying for guidance, re-read those that you are still considering, write or call them for more information, pray, and make your decision.

God will direct your steps and answer your prayers. You will 'know' when you have found 'your' family for your special child. We are available to help you in any way--please do not hesitate to call us.

(If you contact a number of couples, please let all of them know who you have chosen for placement. Adoptive couples understand that they not be 'your' family. But it helps the adoptive couples so much to know your decision--rather than just wondering and waiting. Our Christian Adoption family prays for each other and will be thankful to know what your decision is and who they can join with in prayer for a successful delivery/placement. They know in their hearts that 'their' child is coming in God's timing.)
