Hi everyone!! I just got back from Seattle from a 3-week stay and have a miracle to tell!!!!!!!!!!

Eighteen years ago on June 4 my daughter had a beautiful baby girl that was adopted to a Seattle couple when she was eight days old. It was to have been an open adoption but for whatever reasons they changed their minds - that was not to be.

On June 27, 2003 we were in the Seattle area (over 150 miles from our home here in Yakima) and I was selling cherries in a small stand (we sell in a pretty exclusive area and have wonderful customers) waiting on a customer when a young girl walked across the street. She stood to the right of my customer, and I looked and looked at her face and then I started praying. I knew without a doubt that this beautiful young lady in front of me was my granddaughter. The mirror image of my daughter - same slightly slanted blue eyes, eyebrows, nose, mouth, same color and texture of hair!! Short like me with my identical legs. She said, "I have to call my dad to check if he wants white or dark cherries."

I then asked her if her name was Samantha, and of course it was!! I said, "Honey, I am your grandmother, Cynthia's mother"!! We reached for each other and hugged and cried. I finished waiting on my customer with tears streaming down my face. He kept saying, "I have never seen anything like this in my life; what a miracle!!"

I told Sammy that Cynthia would be back in a few minutes, and it was her choice totally if she wanted to stay or not. She stayed. My daughter pulled up and saw Sam sitting with her back to her, and I had just reached down and kissed Sam's head. Cyn thought this was rather strange, my kissing a customer!! Sam turned around, and she and my daughter ran to each other and hugged and cried. Sam stayed and visited for over two hours. She and my daughter sat and held hands and talked and talked. Sam is an avid reader like us, uses her cell minutes up too fast like my daughter, runs just like me, a people person, dresses like my daughter, on and on...I do not know what will happen in the future.
