The Child Day Care Partnership is responsible for the following functions for the Department of Human Resources:

1. Licensing day care centers and night-time centers
2. Visiting day care facilities to verify compliance with Minimum Standards for Day Care Centers and Night-Time Centers
3. Providing the depository for information filed by churches choosing to be exempt from licensure
4. Investigating licensing violation complaints and recommends adverse action for child care centers when non-compliance of standards warrants
5. Offering consultation to day care and prospective day care providers
6. Writing policies and interpreting Minimum Standards for day care centers and day care homes
