The Office of Child Protective Services provides the following functions for the Family Services Partnership of the Department of Human Resources:
1. Maintains the Central Registry on Child Abuse and Neglect 2. Administers the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (ICPC) which reviews and facilitates applications for travel, placements, foster care, and adoptions of children entering and leaving the state 3. Applies for and monitors grants for protective services projects 4. Provides case consultation services Assists with child protection services program and policy development 5. Assists in development of resources and provides support services and technical assistance to county Department of Human Resources staff and to program providers (Family Options and Family Service Centers).
ANLC provides Birthmothers with free 24/7 support. Caring advisors help create an adoption plan that meets each Birthmother's specific needs. Free housing and financial assistance for medical/living expenses may be available.
