Imagine
Imagine finding out your mom and dad weren't really your parents.~
Imagine wondering all your life where you came from, who your parents are, and what nationalities you might be...~
Imagine growing up not being able to complete a medical form at your Doctor's office, instead having to write N/A.~
Imagine in school, not being able to honestly do a family tree report.~
Imagine your friends asking you why your mom gave you away?~
Imagine feeling like your
birth certificate is a lie, you have no access to it, and you are made to feel like a criminal when asking to see it.~
Imagine all your life searching through crowds wondering if you are related to one of those faces.~
Imagine your parents getting upset and angry when you bring up the subject of your adoption.~
Imagine the pure joy of hearing your Birth Mom's voice on the telephone for the 1st time and recognizing how similar it is to your own!~
Imagine finding out you have new brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles and grandparents!~
Imagine hearing your beautiful birth-name for the 1st time!~
Imagine never meeting your Birth Father and finding out you searched too late as he has passed away.~
Imagine meeting and hugging the woman who gave you life for the 1st (well actually 2nd!) time~
Imagine trying to process all this new information and trying to integrate your two identiyies.~
Imagine going through therapy to try and make all the puzzle pieces fit and to put your life back together~
Imagine finally feeling like the circle is complete, you have 2 families to love and spend your life with; a fresh beginning, a new start with endless possibilities and new sunny horizons!!~
