Check with your insurance company, let them know that you do foster care. Ask if you need any special insurance. For example; if a foster child steals from you or starts a fire, is it covered? Check it out. Also find out if you are covered for liability in case of any accidents to your foster child. Better to ask now then after the fact when you put in a claim.
