My daughter and I have been looking for my daughter that I gave up 28 years ago. Recently I received a phone call from a former co-worker and she told me she had another lady's name who had information about my adopted daughter. I called this lady who was 80 years old, and she told me that my daughter and her parents had stopped at a cemetery that had my maiden name as the name of the cemetery and this lady lived next door.

They told her that they were going through and saw this cemetery and wondered if she knew any of the local people with this name. The lady took down some information and did some investigating on her own after they left. Well this lady told another lady about this situation, and she then told a girl I used to work with and this lady said, "I know the mother."
It took her a few weeks to get up the courage to call me. She called me July 5, 2003 and I then preceded to call the 80 year old lady. She was so happy and gave me the information and told me that she had been praying that this would all work out. I then called the number that she gave me and got my adopted daughter's adopted sister. She told me that she thought that she was on vacation with her parents, but come to find out she wasn't on vacation and got the message and gave me a call. We cried, of course, and I told her that I had married her dad and that she also had a biological brother and sister. We were both so excited.
On July 6, 2003 we talked for about an hour and then she said she wanted to meet us. We planned to meet on Monday July 7, 2003 and she came to our home with her husband of 4 years and we had supper and a very good visit. We have since talked and she wants us to meet her parents.
She had a very good life growing up and her parents always encouraged her to find us. So far things have been great. Just thought I would share our happy story with others. I didn't know if I would ever find her. What's really strange is my daughter's name is Jenna Linn and my adopted daughter's name is Jennifer Lynne. So very strange. We also took pictures, and the 3 of us look so much alike.
