I searched for and found my birthmother's side of my family but alas, my mother had already died. All of the family elders have died too and no one has information on who my father might be.

My birthmother, Judy Lynn Miller, was in the Crittendon Home in Columbus, Ohio from November 1950 to February 16, 1951. I am wondering if there are bulletin boards or something like that where birthmothers seek to locate and communicate with one another. I am thinking that perhaps I can find someone who was in the Crittendon Home at the same time as my mother with whom my mother might have spoken confidentially.

My mother's name is Judy Lynn Miller. My birth name is Leah Lynn Miller. I was born on February 9, 1951. According to the non-identifying information supplied by the Crittendon Home, Judy left the Crittendon Home with me in tow on February 16, 1951.

I have reason to believe that the adoption was direct from my mother to my adopted father. My adopted father was a clergyman and made "rounds" to the Crittendon Home. Unfortunately, my adopted father does not support my search efforts. Indeed, he thwarts them. My birth family believes that Judy contacted my adopted father and that he "drove" her away.

It is quite possible that Judy was incested by her father, i.e., that I am my grandfather's daughter. The family suspects this but supports me in searching because they would rather that it was not true. I mention this because I will not be alarmed if information comes back supporting this. What I am looking for is the truth/the answer, so that the event can be laid to rest.

Bless your heart. Thanks in advance for your time and attention to my inquiry.
