Louisiana Child Protection Emergency Day Care
Protective child care is provided to infants, preschool and school age children who have been identified as being at risk for abuse/neglect and possible removal from their families. Care is provided in licensed centers. Day Care is a part of the overall service plan provided to families by Child Protection Investigation and/or Family Services staff.

Infants, preschool and school age children who have been identified as being at risk for abuse and/or neglect in either an open CPI or FS case.
How does one access the service?
This service is available to children in active Child Protection Investigation or Family Services cases.
Where and When can the service be accessed?
Day care services can be accessed at the local parish office of the Office of Community Services [see directory of parish offices], for a child that has been identified as being at risk of abuse and/or neglect.
