5-307. Who may be adopted or placed under guardianship.


a. Adoption. Any individual, whether a minor or an adult, may be adopted.


5-308. Legal effect of adoption.

(c) Effect of adoption of adult. The legal effect of an adoption of an individual who is an adult is the same as that of the adoption of a minor.


5-311. Required consent; revocation.



(a) In general. Unless the natural parents' rights have been terminated by a judicial proceeding, an individual may not be adopted without the consent of:
