Rainy Days

I look in the mirror,
and no longer see me;
Sometimes on rainy days,
I remember the way things used to be;
When waking up was fun,
and there wasn't a stunt that had already been done;
Playing all night,
and sleeping all day;
But not even this could make me forget that day;
The day my beautiful Audrey Nicole went away;
I held you tight and waited for another answer to appear,
Oh God, why didn't you hear?
Minutes felt like seconds,
time was moving much to fast;
Before I knew it,
present became the past.
I remember that last touch of your sweet innocent hand,
and with that touch you took my smile.
Over the next few days my body grew cold,
and my heart grew hard.
What had I done?
I stared at the wall with such stun.
Time moves on and this harshness would
have to come to an end.

Now everytime I smile is for you;
Everytime I cry is because I'm thinking of you;
I'm sorry things happened this way;
It will all work out another day.
