Thank Thee Lord
The beginning of conception. The beginning of a life. The chance to bring a life into the world. God's great gift to man.
I was told I was pregneant. You were told you weren't and never could be. I was sad with the reality of not being able to give a child the necessities to live.
You were sad because you had all the necessities to give, but no child. Two different women,
living in different cities miles from the other, both faced with a burden.
A child not yet born, not sure if it will ever be. A decision both of these women have to make in their lives, not knowing how much it would affect the other.
To give this child life was meant for me to do, but to give this child "a life" was meant for you. The time it took for me to make the right decision was long.
Nothing compared to the time you waited for someone like me to realize that you were the right decision.
For women giving birth is a wonderous thing. But after giving birth there is a need for a mother to take care of the child.
This too, is a wonderous thing. I was not going to be able to be a mother mentally, physically and financially.
You gave me the chance to give myself the time and the ability to live life the best I can and not subdue a child to all the "misfortunes" that I faced.
I gave you the chance to be a mother and give a child all the "fortunes" that you faced. So from the
birth mother of this child to the adoptive mother of this child, I thank thee.
From both of the mothers of this child, we thank the dear Lord. Bless this child and bless the families of this child.
