Enjoying Life as it Happens!

WE CALL HER "MIK"

People call her "Mik." Short for Mikaila.
Yes, her parents approve of the nickname.

They gave it to her!

Mik is our daughter's first child, and we are
fortunate enough to have them living right
down the road from us.

Yesterday was one of those neat "Mik" times.
She is jabbering now. That special, just-
more-than-one-year-old jabber that we enjoy
hearing.

And we love to hear her laugh :)

That's what made yesterday's time so special.
We were babysitting. And, Mik? Mik was in a
good mood. Don't you just love it when babies
are in a fun-loving mood?

It was a special "Mik moment."

PRECIOUS MOMENTS

She was laughing, jabbering and enjoying life.
Now here's your test: who *else* do you think
was laughing, jabbering and enjoying life?

You got it: two grandparents by the name of
Lee and Sherry!

Those were special moments for "mammaw" and
"pap." You'd better believe we took
advantage of them!!

MEANINGFUL "SLICES OF LIFE"

I have been thinking about the precious
moments all of us enjoy at one time or another.
The times when we stop long enough to take in
a meaningful slice of life.

These "meaningful slices of life" are treasures
each one of us could -- and should -- indulge
ourselves in on a regular basis.

REFRESHMENT OFFERED TO ALL!

"Mik" moments come to us in all shapes, sizes,
times and ways. I believe each one of us has
them on a regular basis. But ...

We miss them.

We miss them because we don't consistently
develop the habit of looking for them. Often
we need reminders: like a grandchild playing
in our front room.

"WHAT WE SEE IS WHAT WE GET!"

I tend to find what I look for. If I'm on the
lookout for something beautiful I am more
inclined to "discover" just that: something
beautiful.

Some years back I decided to discover "more"
of what was in my own backyard of life.

I decided to notice all kinds of colors and
enjoy them in a special way.

And I did!

I noticed shades of green in the woods I had
never noticed before. It was great!

What I "saw" was what I "got." I simply
applied my "more color" lens to my average
day and ... I saw more colors.

NEEDED BY ALL

To enjoy life more is to be a better ...

*Family member

You and I need to create our own precious
moments in life by what we decide to "see"
each day.

It's that simple.

YOUR OWN DISCOVERY CHANNEL

What will be the precious moments *you* will
take pleasure in this week?

Will you decide to look for these treasures
and "capture" what you uncover?

All "Mik moments" have one thing in common:
they are waiting to be discovered.

They are not hidden. They are, however, often
just out of sight. We must put on the right
"life lens" to discover these treasures.

Why not turn on your own personal discovery
channel and take a look this week?

Take a *good* look.

And remember:

"What you see is what you get!"

P.S. On second thought, why not take a look
today?
