Dr. Ilene Fennoy is currently Director, Pediatric & Adolescent Diabetes and Endocrinology at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital. She holds an academic position as Clinical Associate Professor, Pediatrics at NYU School of Medicine. She received her Doctor of Medicine degree form the University of California, San Francisco and her Masters Degree in Public Health from Columbia University, School of Public Health. Her pediatric training was done in the Department of Social Pediatrics, Montefiore Hospital, Bronx, New York, Nutrition training at the Institute of Human Nutrition, Columbia University and Pediatric Endocrine training with the Pediatric Medicine Branch off the National Institute of Child Health, Bethesda, Maryland. Prior to joining St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital, Dr. Fennoy was Director, Ambulatory Medicine and Graduate Medical Education at The Brooklyn Hospital Center. She also has held positions as Acting Senior Vice President Medical & Professional Affairs at the New York City Health and Hospitals Corporation; Associate Director, Pediatrics at Harlem Hospital and Course Director, Growth and Development in the Masters program in Human Nutrition, Institute of Human Nutrition, Columbia University. She has published articles in pediatric endocrinology both on growth and development and on diabetes. Dr. Fennoy is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of the Lawson Wilkins Pediatric Endocrine Society, the Endocrine Society, and the American Diabetes Association.
