Jeanne Howard
Biography
Jeanne Howard is co-director of the Post Adoption Project at Illinois State University, which is funded by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. For the past 15 years, Susan Livingston Smith and Jeanne Howard—Department of Social Work faculty at Illinois State University—have conducted research and training on adoption. Together they co-direct the University’s Center for Adoption Studies, a center funded by the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Professors Smith and Howard have also completed several studies about post-adoption services and recently authored a book titled Promoting Successful Adoptions: Practice with Troubled Families.
