Linda McKamey
Biography
Linda McKamey, Parent Consultant, Resource Coordinator, and Therapeutic Foster Parent Recruiter has been affiliated with The Attachment Center since 1987. She began working with attachment-disordered children as a Therapeutic Foster Parent for The Attachment Center. During that time, Ms. McKamey worked with over 100 children in short term and long term care. Building upon that experience, she now recruits and trains therapeutic foster parents, imbuing them with her deep understanding of therapeutic care of seriously disturbed children and helping them meet the certification and education requirements of the State and The Attachment Center. She also conducts parenting skills classes for placing parents and presents on parenting strategies at national conferences.
