My 3 Angels
I have a true story that would basically involve the wonderful celebration of Easter and Mother's Day combined...I had been grieving most of my adult life with many family tragedies, and this story is about my first joy and waking up from a slumber of sadness and beginning a new life filled with joy...almost like being reborn so to speak.
I had been handling 3 estates in my house at the same time and had a recent trip downtown for various legal matters, etc.. On the occasion my daughter Brandy had been with me and we took advantage of the various sites on the way...making penny wishes in Old City on Ben Franklin's grave and Betsy Ross's courtyard. On our way home I spotted a penny outside Independence Hall. I picked it up hoping to make 1 last wish...for I had already wished for a resolution to 3. I was searching for lost in adoption my son, niece and a nephew. I looked at the penny dated 1972, the year my sister was murdered in the Phila Infamous Bloody 13 weekend...so I felt kinda lucky and decided to play her dob in the lotto that night...112...I watched 603 come out, my brother's dob, who was also murdered in Phila in 1999, both had my attention for some reason. I was listening, not knowing what for. On the Catholic Holy Thursday, the anniversary of my Mother's death, I had a list of 770 names I received some months back for my son. I had 5 stamps in my wallet, figuring I would start with the names in PA and branch out, eventually, hoping to mail about 5 a week for a long period of time.
On Easter morning I received my 1st and only reply...my son's mother. I had received the most wonderful Gift from my 3 angels, actually 4. My mother, father, brother and sister were helping me to begin a new life...one without any grief and knowing how alone I felt in this world, even though I have a wonderful family, I physically had lost my very thread of existence losing so many friends and family in a short period of time.
Thanks for listening to my story. Hopefully if you listen, you may have one of your own to share..........
Sincerely,
Jacquelie Horan Timins
